STARGAZING IN THE WORLDS FIRST "DARK SKY" ISLAND

"Freya was simply incredible - her vision and styling helped us create the theme for our day, and it all tied in beautifully with Freya's designs. We had so many complements on our invitations which were so beautiful, elegant and so wonderfully personal. The guests' place names were such a hit that our guests wore them during the evening, and everyone took them home as a memento. Freya met us at home, and from start to end she was easy to contact, and incredibly helpful. I really can't thank her enough for everything she did and would recommend her to anyone wanting something unique and personal for their wedding or event."

The Details
I don't think we've met such a fun-loving couple as extreme sport fanatics Vicki & Matt. Catching up at their home in Kingston upon Thames in between skydiving trips we compiled a map based invitation suite featuring some of their favourite places in the world.
The invitation was in the gorgeous tactile booklet format with surprise pop up map at the back which guided the guests around the Isle of Sark where the wedding would take place.
Being the first designated 'Dark Sky' island in the world and famous for its incredible stargazing we had to include the constellations in the stationery and a gorgeous green background made it fit in with the suite perfectly, featuring on the envelope liner and the inner cover of the invitation booklet.
Since the island has no cars guests were greeted by horse and cart at the ferry and hired bikes to get around the island during their stay, and the details for this along with bike illustrations featured in the booklet too.
Following the map theme the table plan was in the guise of a world map and the table names were all places the couple had visited, and more often than not, skydived in. These all featured bespoke hand drawn maps with illustrated features.
The place names were super fun, being in the form of polaroid photos which featured childhood photos or photos of the guest with the bride or groom, amazingly sourced by Vicki and Matt! These became a great talking point and soon guests were wearing their 'name badges' throughout the evening. The photo above is of the best men wearing theirs during their speech.
The couple and guests rode tandems between their outdoor ceremony near Pilcher Monument and Stocks Hotel where their evening reception marquee awaited.
Our stationery really helped bring the day together, in colour scheme and romantic styling. Such a joy and pleasure to be involved in from start to finish, we wish Vicki & Matt the most incredible fun on their 2 year world tour honeymoon!
